Value: first vine is an importer and a retailer. This allows us to offer our wines at lower prices than other non-importing retailers charge for comparable quality wines from the same region by eliminating the distributor step from the sales chain.

Pairing well with food: The European wines we've selected pair particularly well with nearly all foods and also have sufficient character to be consumed without accompaniment. Many "New World" wines are delicious alone, but are difficult to pair with foods.

Knowledge of and Passion for the Wines: We've developed personal relationships with the wine producers and distributors in France, and use that knowledge to impart a sense of place to the product, as well as suggesting foods that these wines complement particularly well.
