100% Pinot Noir. It's a lighter-bodied version, but with the good acidity and fruit flavors you'd expect. A great everyday food wine, especially with foods that need more acidity than most red wines can give.
Les Vignerons du Pic and Cellier du Pic are cooperative wineries owned by grape growers in and around the villages of Assas, Baillargues, Claret, and Saint-Gély-du Fesc north of Montpellier. The co-ops now produces wine from several Languedoc appellations. These include AOC-named appellations such as Pic St Loup (the distinctively-shaped mountain that gives its name to the area), Languedoc Grès de Montpellier (the Château d'Assas reds you'll find on our everyday reds and reds to impress pages), and AOC Languedoc (called Coteaux de Languedoc until 2007), and also wines classified as Pays d'Oc IGP (called Vin de Pays until 2007).
The Pays d'Oc wines are mostly single varietals crafted as everyday wines, and First Vine is the first U.S. importer of them. Les Terrasses de Perret Pinot is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Pinot Noir has an exalted and highly-romanticized reputation, and indeed, some of the world's finest wines are made from Pinot Noir. Coaxing it to the heights of brilliance may take a great deal of luck, skill, and the very best of soils and terrains. But it's also possible to make a good everyday wine from Pinot Noir that still shows the good acidity and lively fruit flavor of the grape.
